"What better way to celebrate the Met Opera's season than with an inside view of the building they've called home for 49 seasons and counting at Lincoln Center. The Metropolitan Opera House is open, free, most weekdays throughout the season from 10 AM to 2 PM and provides visitors the opportunity to walk up the grand staircase and step onto the balcony overlooking Lincoln Center Plaza. Personal photography is welcome. In addition, a large monitor provides a live look at the on-stage rehearsals for the season's 225 performances.

Founder's Hall, located in the lower lobby, is home to an exhibit about the Met's history, including performance footage of the nine new productions that anchored the opening season.

For more information and the days on which the Lobby is closed, visit metopera.org."
